Crime Report: April 25-May 1

The San Diego Police Department regularly releases crime statistics by neighborhood. The most recent aggregated statistics are for January and February of this year. Totals for La Jolla, including the Village area, are as follows:

Violent Crimes

  • Murder: 0
  • Rape: 1
  • Armed Robbery: 1
  • Strong Arm Robbery (unarmed): 4
  • Aggravated Assault: 5
  • Total Violent Crimes: 11

Property Crimes

  • Residential Burglary: 28
  • Non-residential Burglary: 23
  • Theft Over $400: 80
  • Theft Under $400: 72
  • Vehicle Theft: 25
  • Total Property Crimes: 218

For the week of April 25 through May 1, the following crimes were reported for the 92037 area:

  • Saturday, April 26 at 04:04 a.m., commercial burglary, 7700 block of Girard Ave.
  • Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m., theft, 8800 block of Robin Hood Lane.
  • Sunday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m., theft, 7900 block of Girard Ave.
  • Monday, April 28 at 3:30 p.m., residential burglary, 2200 block of Via Lucia.
  • Tuesday, April 29 at 3 p.m., theft, 5400 block of La Jolla Blvd.Tuesday, April 29 at 9 p.m., commercial burglary, 8200 block of El Paseo Grande.
  • Wednesday, April 30 at 12:50 a.m., residential burglary, 6000 block of Beaumont Ave.
  • Thursday, May 1 at 2:10 p.m., theft, 7900 block of Girard Ave.
  • Thursday, May 1 at 7 p.m., residential burglary, block of 8500 Via Mallorca.
