Crash clogs I-5 in Rose Canyon
At least two people were taken to hospitals Sunday following a crash that briefly closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 5 in Rose Canyon, authorities said.
The collision between several cars and a motorcycle took place around
8:15 a.m. approaching the state Route 52 interchange, according to the
California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported that debris spread across the lanes, particularly from
the motorcycle. The fast lane was re-opened in about 10 minutes, but traffic was congested through the area north of Mission Bay.
A dispatcher from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said two
ambulance took injured people to hospitals, but she didn’t have an exact count of victims.
