Mayor Jerry Sanders’ office asked that the Community Planning Association be decertified for operating under bylaws that have not been approved by the City Council. The certification granted to the Planning Association gives it the authority to require developers to come before them prior to taking projects before city planners. If the certification is rescinded, the advisory votes taken by the Planning Association would no longer be included in staff reports given to city planners.
