Cows on parade in La Jolla

Share

Approximately 20 cows will be on display through the Village area of La Jolla when CowParade makes its California debut in January 2009.

CowParade San Diego will feature 200 life-sized fiberglass cows transformed by artists from San Diego and Tijuana and displayed around San Diego’s premier outdoor locations for three months, Jan. 3 through March 1, 2009. An artist lab and warehouse will be housed at Liberty Station in San Diego.

The cow sculptures will dot the region’s landscape, becoming an important tourism attraction and weekend outing for local families. As the world’s largest public art event, CowParade has organized exhibitions of life-sized fiberglass cows in cities around the world. For more information, visit
