La Jolla’s cows moooved on Monday night, to a temporary home at Liberty Station where they’ll be on display until the day before they are sold at a charity auction on July 11.
The cows, which have drawn admiring and quizzical looks from tourists and locals alike, have been seen around the Village and at UTC since March. At the auction, the fiberglass creations will be sold to the highest bidders to benefit Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and The Zoological Society of San Diego.
The event will be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Robert Paine Scripps Forum at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla. The cost is $150 per person. For tickets go to
