Concert a hit for Promises

More than 500 guests enjoyed the Promises2Kids Summer Concert Gala on June 2 at the La Jolla estate of philanthropist Joan Waitt. According to the organization, nearly $375,000 is estimated in gross proceeds from the dinner, live/silent auctions, and evening concert performance by rock legends Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo.

All proceeds benefit Promises2Kids, a San Diego-based non-profit dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse through prevention, education and advocacy.

“We are so fortunate to have the support of our donors and community leaders who helped us surpass last year’s fund-raising event,” said Susan Golding, CEO and president, Promises2Kids. “Proceeds from the benefit will ensure that children who need our help will get it, and that we can continue to educate on child abuse prevention and advocate for change.”
