More than 6,000 volunteers have already registered for California Coastal Cleanup Day, which will happen from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Part of the largest volunteer event in the state, Coastal Cleanup Day in San Diego has more than 80 sites and will attract participants of all ages, who are expected to help clean up in excess of 150,000 pounds of trash in just one morning.

Complete event information, cleanup site details and registration are now available at

www.cleanupday.org

Coastal Cleanup Day coordinators request that volunteers bring their own reusable buckets, work gloves and water bottles. Coordinators will give reusable event tote bags to participants so they can continue to incorporate this Bring Your Own campaign every day.
The event is co-coordinated locally by San Diego Coastkeeper and I Love a Clean San Diego.
