Cleaning up La Jolla

A group of ‘energetic and dedicated people’ showed up Saturday to help clean the area around the La Jolla post office on Wall Street, including the disabled ramp, which is now spotless, said Esther Viti, who heads the La Jolla Town Council Nell Carpenter Beautification Committee. Among them was 6-year-old Audrie Matton. The group’s next cleanup will be from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 3 on La Jolla Boulevard. For information, e-mail Viti at beautljviti@aol.com.
