NBC to broadcast interviews with District 1 San Diego City Council hopefuls June 5-6

This weekend, NBC will broadcast an interview hosted by Gene Cubison that features Barbara Bry, Ray Ellis and Joe LaCava — the three candidates running for the District 1 seat on the San Diego City Council, which represents La Jolla, Carmel Valley, Pacific Highlands Ranch and University City. The seat is currently held by City Council president Sherri Lightner of La Jolla, whose term expires in November 2016.

The “Politically Speaking” broadcast is set for 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6 and 5 p.m. Sunday, June 7.

The primary election is June 7, 2016.

Among the topics to be discussed: One Paseo, minimum wage and road repairs.
