Church’s rummage sale a hit

Spring was in the air at La Jolla United Methodist Church’s 50th Annual Rummage Sale, March 13, where bargain-hunters shopped from 8:30 a.m. ‘til closing time at 3:30 p.m. and the weather was warm and sunny.

Organizers were concerned that rain might dampen sales, since the Saturday before was a wet one. More than 100 volunteers worked on the sale collecting, sorting, tagging and selling the donations gathered since last year’s sale.
