Chef whips up food bank fare
Chef Trey Foshee of George’s on the Cove, La Jolla, will participate in the 14th Chefs Classic on June 27 in Kansas. The Chefs Classic challenges the country’s most talented chefs to come up with unexpected new flavors and ingenious ingredient combinations for a dinner to benefit Harvesters.
The participating chefs will create dishes using whole grains and other ingredients commonly provided by the food bank. They will demonstrate their recipes to Harvesters’ Project STRENGTH educators, who teach low-income families how to prepare nutritious, delicious meals with limited means.
