Carlsbad bank robbed

Three men who claimed to be armed robbed a Citibank on Thursday, a Carlsbad police lieutenant said.

The men, who wore dark masks and hooded sweatshirts, held up the branch at 1810 Marron Road around 10:30 a.m., Lt. Matt Magro said.

Arriving officers found a running vehicle behind a nearby Marshall’s clothing store and launched a search for the robbers, who eluded capture, Magro said.

The car turned out to be reported stolen from Los Angeles, he said.
