Burglar throws bricks into businesses in La Jolla Village Square

Three businesses in La Jolla Village Square were burglarized on March 31 by a suspect who three bricks through the windows, police spokesman Gary Hassen said Monday.

The businesses in the 8600 block of Villa La Jolla were broken into at 2:16 a.m. At Jamba Juice, a tip jar with an unknown amount of cash aws taken and two cash registeres were damaged. At Fins, there was no loss and at neighboring Zpizza, the amount lost was not known, Hassen said.

A video at Fins showed a male suspect wearing a hat; no video was avaialble from Jamba Juice and it was unknown whether the pizzeria had video.

No suspect has been identified and the investigation is continuing.
