Black & White Ball a colorful affair

Guests at the 20th annual Athenaeum Music and Arts Library gala Sept. 11, enthusiastically caught the spirit of the Black & White Ball, dressing to match the theme and the imaginative decor. Dinner matched the design, starting with black bean soup garnished with crème fraiche, glazed chicken a stand-out on black dinnerware and of course, dark chocolate cake for dessert. Donna Marshall chaired the event with Miriam Krippl as her co-chair. The A-list, young library supporters, joined the festivities later in the evening for dancing under the twinkling lights.
