Bishop’s headmaster honored at assembly

Students at The Bishop’s School honored Headmaster Michael Teitelman during the Second Century Blast On and Headmaster’s Farewell on April 30. Teitelman is set to retire this year after 26 years as headmaster.Upper and middle school students packed into the athletic center to pay tribute Teitelman and his wife, Marlene, during an assembly organized by the Associated Student Body Council.
Thundering cheers and applause broke out repeatedly during the assembly, which featured several students who recounted memories of their headmaster, a video slideshow and a song by the Bishop’s Singers. A farewell party followed the assembly on the campus quad with cupcakes and ice cream.
Newly appointed Headmaster Aimeclaire Roche will begin on July 1.
The events also marked the last day of classes before finals in addition to the end of the Centennial Celebration at Bishop’s.
