Bicyclist injured in crash on Lowry Terrace
A 44-year-old man who was not wearing a helmet was critically injured Saturday when he fell off his bicycle in La Jolla and struck his head, a San Diego police officer said.
The man fell off the bike around 2 p.m. while making a right turn from
Lowry Terrace to El Paseo Grande, near Spindrift Golf Course, said Officer Brad Ruff.
The man was not wearing a helmet and struck his head on the pavement,
Ruff said.
Witnesses said he was traveling around 25 mph when he crashed, Ruff said.
