Author offers trends at show

The Fairbanks Republican Women Federated will present its annual luncheon fashion show, beginning at 11 a.m. May 6 at the Hilton pavilion at La Jolla Torrey Pines.

Lynn Vincent, co-author of the New York Times bestseller “Same Kind of Different As Me,” and Sarah Palin’s book, “Going Rogue,” will be the guest speaker. Vincent is also features editor for World Magazine. She plans to offer “unique insights about the future of America.”

The fashions presented will be from Cache, Nicole Miller and Mister B.

In support of the Dress for Success organization, which provides help for economic independence to disadvantaged women, guests are asked to bring new or gently used handbags to the event. (More details at
