Arts organizations link for a unique project

Four of San Diego’s arts organizations announced a joint relationship in support of each other and their patrons.

Orchestra Nova San Diego, Cygnet Theatre, Malashock Dance and the Museum of Photographic Arts will begin a co-promotion targeted to providing San Diegans with low-cost options to become involved in multiple genres of the arts.

“We are excited to be working with our friends at Cygnet, Malashock and MoPA to bring our individual artistic offerings to more San Diegans through this new program,” said Tyler Richards Hewes, executive director, Orchestra Nova. “In these difficult times, creative collaboration is more important than it’s ever been before and I really believe that partnerships like this will be key for the arts to not only survive, but thrive.”

The promotion includes:

  • 2-for-1 single tickets for members, subscribers and donors of each organization to each of the other organizations (space available basis, 2009-10 season).
  • Complimentary tickets to each other organization’s staff on a space available basis.
  • An agreement for each organization to publicize the promotion, and each other, on their Web sites and electronic newsletters.
  • An agreement to display marketing materials at each venue.
