Art event doubles as benefit for training service dogs

“Paint for Pups, An Art Fundraiser and Afternoon Tea Party” was held Feb. 21 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine to raise funds for the Puppies Behind Bars program. The nonprofit organization teaches prison inmates to raise puppies as service dogs for people with disabilities, as well as explosive-detection canines for law enforcement.
