Art at the Athenaeum draws fans from former exhibits
Patrons filled the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library in La Jolla on June 25 to catch the opening of the summer exhibition showcasing the highlights behind 20 years of exhibits at the library’s galleries.
During the evening, guests had the chance to buy one-of-a-kind, 8- x 10-inch works especially created for the show’s “secret sale” and priced at $200 each. The names of the artists behind these works were kept secret until the sale ended.
The exhibit runs through July 31 at 1008 Wall St.
