Area yogurt shop included in string of robberies
Three desert shops in San Diego were robbed within 90 minutes of each other by a man who said he had a gun and friends waiting outside, police said.
The first robbery at the Cold Stone Creamery at 10716 Westview Parkway in Mira Mesa occurred around 10 p.m,. Sunday, according to San Diego police Sgt. Bob Dare.
The second occurred at the Pinkberry yogurt shop at 3795 Fourth Ave. in Hillcrest around 10:20 p.m. Sunday, and the third occurred at TF Yogurt at 8855 Villa La Jolla Drive around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Dare said.
No one was hurt in any of the robberies, police said.
The man blamed for all three robberies was described as black, in his 20s, between 5 feet 6 and 6 feet, and 200-250 pounds. In the first two robberies, the man wore a black doo rag. In the third, his hair was in cornrows, Dare said.
