Area students participate in Lego League

Students from schools from around San Diego recently participated in the FIRST Lego League 2011 robotics competition at The Preuss School UCSD.

The event challenged teams to build, test and program an autonomous robot and solve a scientific problem — this year focused on food safety.

Preuss’s ‘Midnight Mechanics’ was one of five teams from the La Jolla school and one 30 competing. Preuss teams won an award for teamwork and one for their research project but non advanced to the regionals at Legoland in December.
