Ambassador John Negroponte to speak at border conference in La Jolla
Ambassador John Negroponte, former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, Honduras, the Philippines and Iraq, will be the opening speaker at the Institute of the Americas Border Conference on U.S.‐Mexico Competitiveness. Held 9 a.m. Feb. 14 at the UC San Diego Weaver Room 10111 North Torrey Pines Road, several other speakers will also present at the cross-border conference. They include Ambassador Sergio Ley, former Mexican ambassador to China and Asia‐Pacific Chair of COMCE; Arnulfo Valdivia, president of the Institute of Mexicans Abroad, on behalf of Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto; and Chris Anderson, CEO of 3D Robotics and author of “Makers: The New Industrial Revolution.”
The conference will focus on the reform agenda in Mexico and key cross‐border business sectors.
