All clear issued by UCSD following ‘suspicious package’ report that caused evacuation of Leichtag Building

Today at approximately 12:50 p.m. the UCSD Police Department received information of a suspicious package at the Leichtag Building at the School of Medicine on the UC San Diego Campus.

An investigation subsequently revealed nothing threatening and an all-clear was issued later in the afternoon.

The building was evacuated initially and individuals were warned away from the area.
