Air Canada will begin non-stop daily service between San Diego and Toronto in June, it was announced Tuesday.
The carrier’s other Lindbergh Field flights are to and from Vancouver and Calgary.
“Air Canada’s Toronto announcement is a welcome addition to the route network from San Diego,” said Thella Bowens, the president and chief executive officer of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. “This service is likely to be popular with business and leisure travelers to and from eastern Canada and beyond.”
Toronto is Canada’s most populous city and its financial capital.
Service is scheduled to begin June 17 with an Airbus A-319 twin-engine aircraft.
