Air Canada flights between Toronto, San Diego begin
Non-stop daily Air Canada flights began Thursday between San Diego and Toronto.
Officials with the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority plan to mark the arrival of Air Canada’s 7:25 p.m. flight from Toronto with a water cannon salute of the aircraft.
A person dressed as SeaWorld’s killer whale Shamu also will be on hand in Terminal 2 to greet passengers as they disembark from the Air Canada flight.
The carrier’s flights will depart San Diego daily at 7:25 a.m. and arrive in Toronto at 3:07 p.m., according to the airline. Flights depart Toronto daily at 5:25 p.m. and arrive in San Diego at 7:25 p.m.
Service is on a 120-seat Airbus A-319 twin-engine aircraft.
Air Canada’s other Lindbergh Field flights are to and from Vancouver and Calgary.
