A Feast of Thanks
Leave it to kids to tell the unvarnished truth, in its simplest terms, about what they really believe. In what’s become something of a tradition, the Light once again this year asked some of the younger residents of the Jewel what they were thankful for this Thanksgiving. Some of their answers may surprise you!
Here’s what students at Delphi Academy, pre-kindergarten through 6th grade at 7527 Cuvier St., had to say about when we asked them what they’re thankful for.
Dylan Michael Gingerella – I am thankful for summer and my toy jeep because it has a gas pedal.
Luis Maldonado – I am thankful for surprises and my toys
Rosella Bosforo – I am thankful for animals and my mom and that I can go all the way across the monkeybars.
Marc Anthony Cordero – I am thankful to read my books and to take a shower.
Bella Nugent – I am thankful for my family and friends and music and everything.
Milad Maheri – I am thankful for my cousin because she’s a cute baby and I like to play with her.
Stayci Burgos – I am thankful for my friends and my cousin that lives in Florida because he teaches my gymnastics and never misses my birthdays.
Daniel Thompson – I am thankful for my mom, my dad, my house and having a great life.
Sarah Bullan – I am thankful for my dog Buddy and mom and dad and that now I am able to work on my own in math.
Kian Setareh – I am thankful for my family, my life and that the fire not to burn down my house.
Jenalisa Armstrong – I am thankful for my family and me to have a house. I am thankful for my family and me to not be in the fire. I am thankful for food.
Alex Logan – I am thankful for the Halloween party last time at this school. I am thankful for my brother and my family.
