4.2 quake hits Baja Thursday night

Some San Diego County residents likely felt the 4.2-magnitude earthquake that struck Baja California late Thursday night but no damage or injuries were immediately reported.

The 11:37 p.m. temblor was centered 15 miles southeast of Ocotillo and 19 miles southeast of El Centro, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.
