Expose strip club in Kearny Mesa said on Thursday that Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, recently notified the club she wouldn’t be performing four nude shows scheduled for 10 p.m. and midnight on Nov. 16 and 17.
Daniels agreed in June to perform at Expose as part of her national “Make America Horny Again" tour, which echoes Trump’s "Make America Great Again" slogan used during the 2016 presidential election.
Since then, she was arrested in Ohio in July for allegedly allowing patrons at a strip club there to touch her on stage, which violates a 2007 state law prohibiting anyone but family members from doing that.
And she was ordered last month to pay Trump attorney’s fees in her unsuccessful defamation lawsuit against the president for a tweet in which he said her statements on a TV show were a “total con job.”
Trump’s lawyers have asked for $342,000 in attorney’s fees, which Daniels’ lawyer is challenging.
In separate litigation unaffected by the defamation lawsuit, Daniels is seeking to invalidate a non-disclosure agreement in which Trump attorney Michael Cohen allegedly paid her $130,000 to keep quiet about her relationship with Trump.
Daniels, who became a minor celebrity because of her connection to Trump, used that status to launch a nationwide tour of strip clubs around the country that began in January.
Dino Palmiotto, the owner of the Expose club, said by email that Daniels will be replaced at the four scheduled San Diego shows by another porn actress, Kendra Sunderland.
Daniels, 39, began performing at strip clubs when she was 18. She has 152 acting credits in mostly adult films, but also appeared in “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” and “Knocked Up.”
