League House picnic a ‘Fiesta in Havana’

League House picnic a ‘Fiesta in Havana’
With the presence of umbrellas, the dance floor was a bit smaller this year, but that didn’t stop the party-goers from doing the salsa!

Residents of La Jolla ‘s League House were “transported” to the capital of Cuba on Aug. 12, during the Rotary Club of La Jolla’s 15th annual picnic, themed “Fiesta in Havana.” The League House, 7465 Olivetas Ave., provides housing for seniors who have lived and worked in the San Diego area and who cannot otherwise afford housing after retirement. Donning festive attire and signature fedoras, residents and Rotarians danced, dined and took photos with the classic cars parked outside for the occasion.
