Torrey Pines Elementary School held its annual Science Discovery Day April 20 on the campus at 8350 Cliffridge Ave. About 50 presenters, mostly parent volunteers from different scientific fields, provided hands-on activities for the students aimed at showing what’s involved in the various STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) careers. Students used STEAM skills as they traveled room to room for age-appropriate workshops.
