The first of several meetings to collect input on how the La Jolla Rec Center playground could be improved will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 at 615 Prospect St. La Jolla Parks & Rec, Inc. has received a $350,000 commitment for equipment upgrades and shade structures, and now the board needs ideas for what the community would like to see happen.
