The Bishop’s School’s annual auction reated a multi-sensory experience on its La Jolla campus that transported guests to the sights, sounds, tastes and colors of Spain on April 28, 2018.

Upon arrival at “Bamboleo,” guests were greeted by a picador and treated to sangria from a strolling flamenco table while listening to a melody from a Spanish bagpiper (gaitero).

The silent auction featured live Spanish guitar and passed tapas as attendees moved into the tent on the Quad for the live auction and dinner. A flamenco performance troupe opened and closed the main stage. Spencer Bezy, Hybrid DJ, provided the dancing music and entertainment to cap off the evening in the Club Ibiza after-party.

This annual “party with a purpose” nets approximately $1 million in direct support for Bishop’s Student Financial Aid and Faculty Professional Growth Programs.

The live auction was emceed by Mike Hoagland (Class of 2003), and Ben Cooper (2007) was the evening’s guest speaker, highlighting the impact Bishop’s has had on his life.
