Thursday Club’s Rummage Sale nets $160,000 for charity

A rainy weekend couldn’t dampen the spirits of bargain-hunters at the 91st annual Thursday Club Rummage Sale, March 10-11 in the Balboa Park Activity Center. Pulling carts, wagons and even wheel barrows, shoppers made their way through the well-labeled aisles, loading up on the gently-used items of their choice and heading to the check-out tables.

The items were priced to move and all proceeds (Club member Deby Heramb reports the sale raised $160,000) will be used to help San Diego organizations fulfill financial needs.

The non-profit women’s Thursday Club was founded in 1921 and currently boasts 300 members. For more details, visit thethursdayclub.org
