Three local artists — Yelena Yahontova, Scott Wright and Mike Lacetera — have their work on display through the month of July 2019 at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, 5627 La Jolla Blvd.

Yelena Yahontova is showing her joyful collection, “There is a Fairy, Angel or Goddess in Every Little Girl and Adult Woman” portraiture. The artist describes herself as “an award-winning Eastern-European photography artist, costume stylist and healer with a camera.” To learn more, visit photographerofjoy.com

Scott Wright is featuring his incredibly detailed colorful fish series “Light. Life. Movement.” It consists of ethereal images constructed within fractal design. The images are based on his experiences and perception of life’s flow, a place where inner calm and awakened states co-exist. This is a world, in and around the sea, he says, where a tranquil harmony thrives. “I am immersing myself in tranquility,” he explained.

Wright works in pencil, charcoal, ink and watercolor. To see his other pieces, visit therightart.com

Mike Lacetera brings his colorful palm tree-inspired series of recycled art. He is a retired art teacher living in North Pacific Beach and has been working on a new series of paintings. All of them are created using recycled cardboard, an X-acto knife and torn edges. He said he enjoys the idea of recycling and creating art together.
