Fourth of July is especially enjoyable in La Jolla. The fireworks traditionally have been centered at La Jolla Cove. This annual tradition is a fun and exciting one.

This two-day juried art show features the work of emerging and established artists from the Southern California area and Baja California. The event benefits elementary schools in La Jolla.

The La Jolla Christmas Parade is an annual tradition in La Jolla and is a great event for the whole family. It features floats, a festival, and a Christmas Tree lighting.

La Jolla Concerts by the Sea
A series of Sunday afternoon concerts held June through September in Scripps Park at the La Jolla Cove, offering a wide range of musical styles. It features some of the best local bands and is free.

La Jolla Festival of the Arts
This well known La Jolla arts festival occurs every June in La Jolla. The event has taken place for over 24 years, and features over 200 fine artists from the United States and Baja California.

La Jolla Gallery Wine Walk & Taste
This annual event brings restaurants and art galleries together for a unique experience. Samples of food and wine are available at the restaurants and at the galleries.

La Jolla Open Aire Market
Founded by La Jolla community activist Sherry Ahern, this farmer’s market benefits La Jolla Elementary and features over 100 vendors each week. The market is held every Sunday from 9AM-1PM, at the corner of Girard Avenue and Genter Street.

La Jolla Open Air Cinema
Held in the Summer in Scripps Park at La Jolla Cove, this fun event features movies for the public and is a free event.

La Jolla Pet Parade
The La Jolla Pet Parade is held in the Downtown area to allow pet owners a chance to show off their pets. Proceeds benefit SNAP, the Spay Neuter Action Project, which eliminates pet homelessness and overpopulation through education and by offering spaying/neutering.

La Jolla Secret Garden Tour
This tour, a fundraiser for the La Jolla Historical Society that is always a sellout, showcases some of the many beautiful homes and gardens in La Jolla. During the tour, enjoy music by local musicians, see local artists creating art, and displays by local designers.
