San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers will hold the inaugural Old Spice Philip Rivers Football Camp on July 10-11 at UCSD.
The event, to be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. each day, will benefit the Rivers of Hope Foundation.
Rivers will be on site to direct the activities of the camp and provide instruction. The camp features a selection of the top prep and collegiate coaches from the San Diego area. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 14.
In addition to seven hours of football instruction, all campers will receive an autographed camp team photo with Rivers, a camp T-shirt, and the opportunity to win additional contests and prizes. Cost of the camp is $199.
In addition to Old Spice, current camp partners include Bridgestone Tires.
Campers are encouraged to register early, as spots are limited.

Hoopsters clean beach
The UCSD softball team, in conjunction with an organization called I Love a Clean San Diego (ILACSD), took time away from preseason preparations to pick up trash in La Jolla on Jan. 16.
Just weeks before starting their season, the Tritons' players found the day of community service helped build team camaraderie and improved the local beach environment.
Originally founded as the San Diego War Against Litter Committee in 1954, ILACSD works to promote regional awareness of environmental issues including resource conservation, waste reduction and recycling, community enhancement and pollution prevention.
