Have you ever wondered who the most muscular man in La Jolla was? On May 20, the UCSD campus crowned its first Mr. Pro-teen and declared him to be the most muscular man in town.
Lambda Chi Alpha hosted the first ever UCSD bodybuilding show to raise money for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It was an event that was attended by hundreds and followed by many more over Facebook, Twitter and personal blogs. Presidents of the Panhellenic sororities served as judges.
Competitors ranged from those who have never competed in a physique competition to those who have won national titles in bodybuilding.
Sancho Poon took home top honors and the grand prize, a training session with bodybuilding legend Frank Zane. He and David Pat, who finished second in the heavyweight class, will compete for the Mr. USA title this fall in Los Angeles.
