Week in sports: LJ girls soccer wins pair

La Jolla High School rolled to a 4-1 victory over Christian on Feb. 4.

The Vikings kept it up two days later, defeating the defending San Diego Section Division III and state champion Cathedral Catholic Dons 4-1 in a Western League match that was a rematch of last year's section title game.

The win moves the Vikings to 7-0 in league play.

The Bishop's School rolled to a 4-0 victory over Canyon Crest Academy on Feb. 4. Laura Wyatt and Kaylie Davidson each contributed a goal and an assist.
The Knights beat Francis Parker, 5-3, on Feb. 6. Davidson scored once and had two assists.

La Jolla Country Day suffered a 3-0 loss to Horizon Christian on Feb. 6.

Boys soccer
La Jolla Country Day secured a 3-2 victory over Horizon Christian on Feb. 6. Kees Thompson and Zach Wolfenzon scored.

The Bishop's School upended Canyon Crest Academy, 2-0, on Feb. 4. The Knights kicked to a 0-0 tie with Francis Parker on Feb. 6.

La Jolla High School played to a scoreless draw with St. Augustine on Feb. 3.

Girls water polo
The Bishop's School swam to an 8-3 win over Cathedral Catholic on Feb. 4. Lexi Bohlmeijer and Dominique Sardo each scored three goals.

The Knights maintained their momentum with a 10-6 win over city rival La Jolla High School on Feb. 6, behind a six-goal effort from Sardo. Bishop's ended the regular season with a 23-5 record.

Boys basketball
La Jolla Country Day topped Horizon Christian, 55-51, on Feb. 6. Four Torreys players scored in double figures, led by freshman Frankie Bamford with 17 points.

La Jolla High School fell to University City, 49-47, on Feb. 3.

The Bishop's School beat Canyon Crest Academy, 82-58, on Feb. 3. The Knights toppled Francis Parker, 63-51, on Feb. 6. They secured their 11th straight win with a 66-36 triumph over Mater Dei on Feb. 7.

Girls basketball
La Jolla Country Day eased to a 73-34 victory over Horizon Christian on Feb. 6.

La Jolla High School dropped a 40-29 decision to University City on Feb. 3. The Vikings rebounded with a 44-33 win over Mission Bay on Feb. 6.

The Bishop's School toppled Canyon Crest Academy, 65-35, on Feb. 3. The Knights rolled past Francis Parker, 75-32, on Feb. 6 and upended Mt. Carmel, 65-55, on Feb. 7.

Roller hockey
La Jolla Country Day fell to West Hills, 8-4, on Feb. 2. Ben Sweeney scored three goals.
The Torreys bounced back with a 20-0 victory over Castle Park on Feb. 4. James Owsiany scored seven goals as Country Day moved to 11-0 in league play.
