The La Jolla High School Varsity Water Polo team had a strong showing in last Thursday's game against Bonita Orange County with an 11 to 1 victory.
Goals were scored by Hunter Gettlefinger, who made four; Alex Arcidiacono made three; Joe Laird scored two; Jake Luther scored one; and Christian Clark scored one.
The Vikings also placed 10 out of 32 teams in the America's Finest City Tournament this past weekend, with the Vikings upsetting Tokay 15 to 2.
La Jolla High School lost to Loyola 8 to 13. In a tight game against Vista, the Vikings won 8 to 7. The Vikings also upset Murietta Valley 9 to 7, and lost to Cathedral Catholic 9 to 10.
Top scorers were Alex Arcidacono, Adam Buechler, Hunter Gettelfinger, Troy LeLoup and Christian Clark.
