Baseball
La Jolla High School secured a 3-0 win over Coronado on April 28. Patrick Christensen pitched a complete game shutout and improved his record this season to 8-1. Robbie Beathard hit a two-run double in the third inning, and later scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Jimmy Filter.

The Vikings went on to beat its city and neighborhood rival, The Bishop's School, 15-5, in the teams' annual game at San Diego State's Tony Gwynn Stadium on May 3. Wyatt Hoff had two hits and two RBIs, helping his own cause on the mound. Beathard went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, two runs and a stolen base. For Bishop's, Nick Cox went 2-for-3 with a triple and drove in two runs.

La Jolla improved to 16-7-1 overall this season and moved to 5-3 in Western League play.

La Jolla Country Day beat rival The Bishop's School, 9-5, on April 30. Greg Wisenberg, Sam Wisenberg and Kyle Reese each contributed two hits, with Greg Wisenberg leading the way with a home run and four RBIs.

For Bishop's, Chris Ludwig went 2-for-4 with a home run, and Raj Dhamrmapal went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and three RBIs.

Country Day rolled past Francis Parker, 9-3, on May 2. Kyle Reese threw a complete game in which he struck out nine batters and allowed just two earned runs. Zack Campbell went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Greg Wisenberg hit another three-run home run. The Torreys improved to 15-10 with a 5-1 record in the Coastal League South this season.

Softball
The Bishop's School secured a 2-1 victory over city rival La Jolla Country Day on April 29. The Knights lost a 4-2 decision to Mountain Empire on May 1. La Jolla Country Day fell, 12-2, to Francis Parker on May 1.

La Jolla High School fell, 3-1, to Point Loma on April 30. The Vikings dropped a 12-5 decision to Clairemont on May 2.

Track
La Jolla Country Day's boys team easily defeated Horizon Christian, 97-38, and the Army and Navy Academy, 86-50, on April 30. Alex Poyhonen won the 400 meters in 54.05 seconds and posted a solid 53.1 split in the 4x400 relay. Jason McCallum won the long jump and pole vault, and Andy Altman was a double winner, in the shot put and discus. Phillip Poyhonen won the 3,200 and set a personal record in the pole vault.

The Torreys' girls' team defeated Horizon Christian, 53-28, on April 30. Tricia Decker cleared 9 feet in the pole vault and also set personal records in the long jump and 200 meters. Mollie Rogers won the shot put and discus.

Swimming
The Bishop's School's girls' team easily beat University City, 108-61, on April 30.

Boys lacrosse
La Jolla High School rolled to a 12-3 win over Patrick Henry on May 2, securing a spot in the playoffs and getting some revenge for a one-goal loss to the same team earlier this season. Drew Newberry set a school record with seven goals, and Taylor Bourgeois added three more. The Knights improved to 8-6 on the season.

The Bishop's School eased to a 6-1 win over Francis Parker on April 29, fueled by a three-goal, one-assist effort from Tighe Thomas. Conner Thomas added two scores for the Knights.

On May 1, the Knights dominated in a 15-2 victory over San Dieguito Academy. Conner Thomas led the way this time with four goals, while Tighe Thomas had three scores and an assist, and Zach Negroni added two goals and three assists.

La Jolla Country Day fell to Canyon Crest Academy, 12-3, on April 29. The Torreys dropped a 5-4 game to Francis Parker on May 1.

Girls lacrosse
The Bishop's School suffered a 9-6 defeat to Francis Parker on April 29, dropping a Coastal League South game for the first time this season. Emily Reit and Elyse Tierney each scored twice for the Knights, while Sophia Muller and Caroline Markham each scored one goal.

The Knights responded with a 10-7 win over San Dieguito Academy on May 1. Muller, Reit, Tierney and Haley Geier each netted two goals in the win.

Boys tennis
La Jolla Country Day fell to Francis Parker, 12-6, on April 30, despite a singles sweep from Daniel Faierman.

The Torreys rebounded with an 11-7 win over city rival The Bishop's School on May 1. Faierman and Warren Wood each swept in singles, and Torreys teammate Glen Essakow took two of three sets.

Boys volleyball
La Jolla High School defeated Francis Parker, 23-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 15-9 on May 2. Matt Jones led the way with 18 kills.
