At the recent USA Water Polo Junior Olympics, three La Jolla brothers won medals in three different age groups.
The youngest Clark boy at 12 is Cooper, whose was a member of the San Diego Shores 12-under team that won a gold meal at the recent Los Angeles tournament. He'll be in seventh grade at Muirlands Middle School.
His oldest brother, Christian, 16, was eligible to play in the 16 and under division but moved up to 18U where he played against opponents two years his senior on a team that won a bronze medal at the national championships.
A Seminar student who will be a senior at La Jolla High this year, he was the LJHS water polo team's most valuable player last year. He is being recruited by several Ivy League schools as well as a West Coast Division 1 team. He also DJs and plays guitar with the local band Neveready.
Riley, 14, played on the 14-under team, which also won bronze in the Junior Olympics and a silver medal in the Speedo Cup last year. He was invited to train with the LJHS varsity during preseason practices, which started this week.
Their father Roger, played volleyball at UCLA and is a four-time NCAA volleyball champion. Their mother, Jennifer, owns Maudlin and is a member of the La Jolla Town Council and an adviser to the La Jolla Business Improvement District.
