Law Enforcement Appreciation Night will recognize the dedicated service of all law enforcement personnel as well as raise funds for the San Diego Crime Victims Fund, a nonprofit organization providing emergency relief and helping with unforeseen expenses to victims of crimes. This year’s ceremony also will honor local officers who have fallen in the line of duty: San Diego Sheriff Deputy Ken Collier, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas and San Diego Police Officer Chris Wilson.
“Our law enforcement personnel do an outstanding job of providing a safe community for all of us and we at the Chargers are grateful to have this opportunity to recognize them” said Chargers Executive Vice President A.G. Spanos.
Fans can also show their appreciation of San Diego’s law enforcement community and support the San Diego Crime Victim’s Fund by purchasing game tickets through Patti Colston, Richard J. Donovan Correctional Community Relations Manager, at (619) 889-4152. Each purchase includes a commemorative T-shirt provided by the 911 Cell Phone Bank with your purchase. A portion of the purchase price will go to San Diego Crime Victims Fund.
“We invite everyone to this year’s first annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night with the Chargers, which will recognize the dedicated service of all Law Enforcement personnel. We are also asking that everyone be safe and make the responsible decision to designate a driver,” said Chief Jim Abele, California Highway Patrol, Border Division.
