School will start late at three rural districts because of winter weather

At least three school districts in San Diego County have decided to start classes late Wednesday because of inclement weather.

The San Diego County Office of Education said the Julian Union School District, the Spencer Valley School District and the Warner Unified School District will have late starts.

The office said it had not yet heard from Julian Union High School or Mountain Empire Unified School District about scheduling plans.

All five school districts canceled classes Monday as an Alaskan storm hit San Diego County, dumping 6 to 7 inches of snow in the mountains and foothills and almost an inch of rain across some inland areas.
