'Hot single female' paints sultry yard sign to lure linemen post-Irma

A Florida woman sweltering in her powerless post-Hurricane Irma home used sexual innuendo to try to get her electric back -- and it worked.

Using leftover pink spray paint and a neighbor's spare plank of plywood, Kynse Leigh, 37, created a storm-style want ad for her yard that read: "Hot single female seeks sexy lineman to electrify her life," Yahoo reports.

"I saw a post on Facebook and I thought it was really funny, and I said, 'I can do that better,'" the Fort Myers woman said with a laugh. "I just thought, hey, maybe when the linemen get to my neighborhood this will make them laugh and they'll hook me up first."

Days earlier, she had undergone a kidney and pancreas transplant at Tampa General Hospital. Since the surgery, she spent some time "jumping from bed to couch" to be able to stay in air conditioning as she recovers.

The electric company workers played along, posing behind the sign and scratching a note on the bottom reading: "Power on due to your PPL linemen."

"I thought that all of my neighbors would get a huge kick out of it," she said.
