Concerned citizens, still on edge from the jet crash in University City, began e-mailing the Light this afternoon after hearing three, distinct loud plane noises overhead around 10:45 to 11 a.m.
A call to local military officials provided the following answer.
The loud plane noises are a combination of changed flight paths due to weather and the noises being amplified by cloud cover and weather conditions.
San Diego City Councilmember Lightner's office also received a noise complaint phone call about the plane noises this morning.
