La Jolla's summer season got off to its unofficial start on Sunday with warm weather and the first concert of the Concerts by the Sea, now in its 26th season. The Heroes kicked of the series, which will be followed by a country band, Nitro Express, this Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Scripps Park.
