Family and friends were treated to flapjacks and good old-fashioned fun, including a "bounce house" and pony rides for children, at La Jolla Kiwanis Club's 45th annual fund-raising pancake breakfast on Aug. 23 at La Jolla Rec Center. Besides breakfast, guests were treated to live music and had a chance to win raffle prizes. Event proceeds are distributed by the nonprofit club to local charities, many benefiting youth.
