UCSD moves up in ranking in U.S. News and World Report

UC San Diego was ranked 35th among national universities by U.S. News and World Report, it was announced today.
UCSD's ranking was up three places from last year and tied with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Lehigh University, the University of Rochester in N.Y. and the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
As usual, Harvard, Princeton and Yale topped the magazine's ranking of 262 national universities.
The rankings appear in U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Colleges 2009'' issue.
