Explore the world beyond the beach during snorkeling adventures offered this September through Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego.
Participants will join aquarium naturalists on a face-to-face excursion with marine life that lives just off the La Jolla coast.
Learn about sea creatures and the ecology of their undersea homes while picking up snorkeling tips.
Intermediate swimming ability is required and previous snorkeling experience is recommended. Participants must supply their own gear.
Snorkel with Sharks Dates: Sept. 14 & Sept. 21 Swim with schooling leopard sharks, smoothhound sharks and guitarfish. See rays, flatfish, sand dwelling invertebrates and coastal sea life, too.
